Code of Conduct

SSEPConnect is committed to ethical business conduct.

SSEPConnect will uphold its ethical and legal standards vigorously as we pursue our objectives. Honesty and integrity will not be compromised.

Consistent with these principles, we have adopted this Code of Conduct as a guide to help clarify the high ethical and legal standards expected. We will act with honesty and integrity.

  1. We will avoid actual and apparent conflicts of interest. A conflict of interest occurs when an individual’s “private interest” interferes with, or appears to interfere with, the interests of SSEPConnect as a whole.
  2. When acting on behalf of SSEPConnect, we will comply with all applicable laws and regulations and, where appropriate, with applicable rules, policies and procedures imposed by public regulatory agencies.
  3. We will always respect the confidentiality of commercially sensitive or other confidential information acquired in the course of operating this site. Confidential information of SSEPConnect, our Investor Members or entities or individuals seeking investment via SSEPConnect may not be used by SSEPConnect.
  4. We acknowledge that the officers of SSEP and/or SSEPConnect shall not be allowed to make any investments in respect of any entity or individual seeking investment through SSEPConnect.
  5. We further understand SSEPConnect has a duty to deal fairly with those with whom it works, including its Investor Members and those entities or individuals seeking investment through SSEPConnect.
  6. We embrace the principle that no one representing SSEPConnect should take unfair advantage of another through manipulation, concealment, abuse of privileged information, misrepresentation, or any other practice of unfair dealing.
  7. We agree that we will encourage open discussion and communication when in doubt about the best course of action in a particular situation.
